Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused not only the loss of organizations but also adverse impacts on employees’ mental health that have led to unfavorable outcomes. Grounded in conservation of resource theory, this study presents a conceptual model and aims to explore the psychological and behavioral consequences to employees of the perceived threat of Covid-19, as well as exploring the moderating effect of affective commitment on those consequences. A convenience sampling method was used to collect survey data from 248 local hired Chinese employees currently working in Thailand. The results from PLS-SEM analysis significantly confirm that employees’ emotional exhaustion resulting from the pandemic can increase their turnover intention. In addition, the results from the moderating effect analysis found that affective commitment can lessen the adverse impact of emotional exhaustion on employees’ turnover intentions. Thus, the organizational management should concern themselves with employees’ psychological wellness during the pandemic, and make efforts to increase Chinese employees’ affective commitment to their organizations.

Thai small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have played an important role for a long time as they are fundamental for Thailand’s economy because they provide the mechanisms for the sustainable development of the current economy of the country. This research tests and explains the factors of change capability and knowledge management affecting the financial performance of SMEs in the meat processing and preservation industry, Northeast Thailand. The sample was collected from 117 firms using a mailed questionnaire method. Structure equation modeling (SEM) was employed. The results show that for SMEs in the meat processing and preservation industry, Northeast Thailand, the factors of change capability and knowledge protection had significant positive effects on financial performance, with p<.01 and p<.05, respectively. The effect size obtained was 49%. The factor of knowledge transfer; however, had no effect on financial performance. Abstract
This paper explores how knowledge management practices are implemented in everyday IT professionals’ jobs based on a theoretical perspective, including both cooperation-based analysis and conflict-based analysis, which has been relatively marginalized by the existing knowledge management literature. To fill this gap, 36 semi-structured interviews were conducted with IT professionals from different organizations, and a thematic analysis approach was adopted to analyze the qualitative data. The results reflect that, in order not to experience a complete loss of autonomy as well as to keep a certain degree of compliance with management rules and regulations, IT professionals continually adjust their behavior to maintain a delicate balance between cooperation-based activities and conflict-based activities, which take place iteratively and simultaneously respond to management control. This result contributes to the existing literature by proposing a new theoretical model and expanding the applicable scenarios of the existing theory.

Abstract
The present study investigates whether the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has influenced the degree of online media coverage on initial public offering (IPO) firms in Thailand and moderates the relation between media coverage and IPO outcomes. Empirical evidence indicates that media coverage affects the initial returns of firms going public in the pre-pandemic period. The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the level of global uncertainty, and it is expected to alter the role of online media outlets in stimulating equity offering activities. Using regression analysis, this study demonstrates an increase in the coverage on IPO firms by Facebook, Twitter, and news websites during the pandemic. Greater online media coverage leads to higher first-day initial returns, which is evidence of boosting investors’ attention. However, the pandemic has had no significant impact on the relation between media coverage and IPO outcomes. These results provide insight into how the uncertainty from the pandemic induces changes to media coverage and how online media channels can be utilized to raise the visibility of IPO firms in emerging economies, with the study potentially having timely implications for academics, regulators, and practitioners. Abstract
Mindfulness is gaining popularity in organizations, with management placing increased importance on the quality of life of employees while responding to the demands of today’s environment. Current research explains the effects of mindfulness on management constructs by basing their studies on either Eastern or Western conceptualizations of mindfulness. This article combines the Buddhist teachings used in the Eastern perspective with the scientific-based Western thought in an attempt to gain a deeper understanding of mindfulness and the components that lead to its benefits. The mindfulness process is portrayed through a spectrum, which explains the states of mind and qualities developed before reaching the “ready to use” state in the workplace context. The development of the mindfulness spectrum contributes to the academic field and provides a more detailed understanding of mindfulness for management to further apply in the organizational context. In addition, the elaboration of the mindfulness process opens more areas for future studies in mindfulness and management literatures.

Abstract
This study investigates whether corporate governance (CG) is associated with firms’ financial outcomes and whether this relationship is mediated by firm risk. Analysis of non-financial listed companies in the Stock Exchange of Thailand between 2015 and 2019 shows that CG quality is positively associated with firm performance. However, although CG effectively constrains accrual earnings management, firms with good CG quality engage in high real earnings management. In addition, mediation analysis reveals that firm risk partially mediates the association between CG and firms’ financial outcomes. Specifically, firms with enhanced CG quality experience risk reduction, leading to better firm performance and less earnings management. Findings present practical implications for regulators and capital market stakeholders.
